FAVORITE & REQUIRED NUTRIENTS

Churchill's Favorites, are recipes developed  for our dog,  Churchill Graham.  He is a Labrador Retriever Mix, whose love for food is quite unique.

Churchill Graham
Unique in the sense of his desire for ONLY  food,  eaten by humans.   We chose, developed, created, recipes we could eat ourselves, AND nutritious for Churchill Graham.  Although human foods can be appetizing, we do understand the importance of preparing and serving what is BEST  for a dog's digestive system, and health.  With this focus, we are aware what foods to avoid, and what amounts to offer along with regular meals given daily.  We are conscientious of what, and how Churchill Graham eats.  Of course, what we are doing different, is PREPARING  our OWN  dog meals and treats, choosing our own ingredients, all to enjoy the fact we can be aware what our dog consumes properly, and is enjoying it at the same time.

Churchill Graham, also has an adopted sister, Francesca Le Bon Bon, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever Mix, whose eating habits and choices are  slightly different than Churchill Graham!  She is not as particular as Churchill Graham.

Francesca Le Bon Bon
Therefore, this makes preparing our own dog meals and treats all the more convenient.   We are able to select creations that both dogs will love.  Fun, simple, and more affordable!

To begin, know your DOG!
Consider what your dog likes.
Be aware what your dog can tolerate.
Even though most dogs will ravish anything, introduce your new food in small amounts.  This way you're being sure your new recipe is  friendly to  your dog's digestive system.
One area we need not be concerned about is the "appearance."  If your biscuit, is not shaped prettily, your dog really won't care.  Dogs are drawn to SMELL.  If your "presentation smells" good to your dog, your Canine Visions Dog Culinary adventure will be a success!  Of course, for a personal satisfaction, it's always nice to prepare food with care AND  good presence.

Churchill's Carrot Crunches

1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup wheat germ
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup organic peanut butter
1/2 cup grated vegetable ( ie: zucchini, carrot, )
1 cup water (if too dry, add water as needed)

Combine Dry Ingredients:  flour, wheat germ, and baking powder in mixing bowl.
In separate bowl, combine peanut butter, vegetable and water.  Stir until creamy.  Add to Dry Ingredient Mixture.  Mix until combined.  Knead dough  smooth.  Roll dough 1/4-inch thick.
Cut dough with cookie cutters.

Place cookie shapes on lightly oiled pan.
Bake at 325 degrees F. for 15 minutes, or dry and firm to touch.
Turn oven off, and leave biscuits in oven for 30 minutes.
Remove biscuits from oven.
Biscuits are suppose to be "hard" good for dogs bite.
Cool on a rack or paper towels.
Store in a tight-lid container
Store in refrigerator.

NOTE:
Peanut Butter is a smell and taste ALL DOGS LOVE!
But it's important to choose the best quality.
Organic or natural peanut butter, is just ground roasted peanuts WITHOUT sugars, salt and artificial sweeteners, colors, and preservatives.  Canine Visions prefer the natural peanut butter!
